This was the Morning of Day 6 and an early knock on the door confirmed that our long cancelled boat trip was on . But not until the Afternoon

We were glad ,,,, as we only had today left to do the boat trip and it had been cancelled due to wind and maybe to few bookings ,,,,, I think they like to combine the bookings onto the one day if they can .

Now that we knew that the Snokleing trip was in the afternoon we decided a good walk before lunch was on

We found the Sign to the Transit hill walk ,,, and on the far right side of this shot we found the hidden bottle shop ,,,,,, just the place to get some reasonably priced beer after the walk .

Everyone just leaves their bike helmets in their bike baskets .
The walk takes you up behing the Pinetrees Resort ,,,,,,, Lots of Green grass fields here ... Where are the cows ???
As you work your way up the hill there are nice views east .

And Finally you get to the Top ,,, It gets a little steep at times but enjoyable

AAAHHHH That why they call it Transit Hill ,,,,,, They Observed the Transit of Venus here in 1882 ,,,,

A Nice view south from up here ,,,

OPPPSsss Girls are on the move again ,,, can't stay in the one place to long ,,,, might get moss growing on you .....

On the way down from Transit Hill we turned off to check out Middle Beach on the Eastern Side

We Turned off at the Sign and headed east .

You work your way arond the steep cliffs and come to a viewing platform ,,,,,, By the Time I had taken a few shots the Ladies had left for a Return trip ...

It was another nice little beach that we left in a hurry ,,, a Bit to crowded .

I did manage to catch up to the ladies for a photo opertunity ,,,

On the walk back we found what we thought was the Island dairy ...... 2 Fressian cows ,,,,,,

The Island is never short of a good Root I am told by the locals ,,,,, This must be what they were talking about here .

Now to Grab a cold 6 pack of beer from the Hidden Bottle shop ,,, pop them in my Bike basket and back to the unit .

I had to Ride back to the Bike Hire place to photograph a Fluffy little seabird ...... Focused . Third try ,,, Auto Focus couldnt get it ,,, to fluffy

I had taken some shots on the first day and later I realized that none were in focus ,,,,,, Then I swung by one other day and the same thing happened ,,,,,, So I had to try again ,,,,,, The fluffy little feathers were confusing the autofocus heaps ,,,,,,

So I finally had to trick the auto focus into giving me what I wanted ,,,

So I was now happy ,,,, and a Cold 6 pack of beer at a reasonable price to take back to the unit as well .... Now lunch with the Ladies and off to the Dive Booking .

We Quickly had lunch & Rush down to Howea Dive Shed only to wait until others arrived later. I think they were combinig a few booking to make more $

We had waited more than an hour for others to join us ,,, But once we were all aboard up the loading ramp we were off quickly

This a Different Boat than before and a Different Captain ,,, Very Quiet with a Dry sense of Humour type of guy

What were those Big fish again ,,, Not sharks RIGHT ?

When we were cruising between spots I shot this beautiful old restored boat ,,,, I think it is some historic boat belonging to Pinetrees Resort ,,,,, etc etc etc

As we left this spot I sighted a Double headed Fish ,,,,,,,, It reminded me to tell Ros to stop wearing her Bike helmet on top of he hat ,,,,,,He He He

It is definitely better having the light wet suits on ,,, comfortable and a little more buoyant and stops you from getting cold .

We move on to severa different places ,, The weather is great ,,, hardley a wave ,,, It makes it easy to get in and out of the boat ,,,,,,, have to keep track of Monique under water .Some of the Places we go to are shallower than others ,,, with schools of fiah to see .

I wish we had gotten 3 of these cameras ,,, one each .,,, Next time .
Didnt know it at the time but the Red ribbons were Shark eggs
Everyone back in the boat and off to another spot before heading in ,,, Bit of a cool breeze now as it is quite late in the day .
