After the Swim and a walk around the rocks, we decided to go for a ride north towards the Wharf and Old Settlement Beach

We stopped at the SIGNAL POINT lookout first , then cycled on to check out " Island Trader " the biweekly Supply Ship at the Jetty . There are always plenty of bike racks all over the place and everyone just leaves their helmets and personal things in the bike basket , A very trusting place .

The shed at the Wharf is still the same one that Sir Francis Chichester had use to repaired his biplane in after it was damaged by a storm . This was years ago well before he was famous for around the world sailing records .We went further down the road and were feeling a bit lazy and didnt ride up the Hill to check out ' Ocean View '

We made a note to come back this way for afternoon tea one day at a place that a dyslectic cameraman like myself thought was Rajilla ,, could never find it in the phone book ,,,,,,,, It turned out to be Crajilla ...

Then we cycled back to Humpty Micks Cafe for a fine lunch and a cold beer .

Check out the pancake clouds over Mount Gower

We cycled down to Lagoon beach and went for a swim out to the pontoon , had a snorkel and checked out the boat trips at Howea Divers

The water was warm at 26* ,,, just how we like it ......... The girls swam out to the pontoon and Monique had her first snorkel .

The walk around the volcanic type rocks was a bit rough on the soft city feet ,,, next time the rock sandals will do fine .

Lots of interesting boat and walking tours to think about .

We went down to Thompsons to hire our bikes ,,, Everyone was happy with our new wheels and the good roads .

Sunday we Flew from Sydney on a 7am two hour flight ,,, arrived on a perfect DAY ,, No wind ,,, water 26 *

We were picked up by SOMERSET Apartments ,,,,, did a stop at Joys Shop to get fresh supplies ( as the Supply Boat had just done its 2 weekly drop of to the Island ) Put some COLD beer and Food in the frig , unpacked and went for a walk down main street towards Lagoon Beach . The street was very quiet and the weather Perfectly windless for a swim out to the pontoon and a snorkel .

The Apartments at Somerset were they same basic comfortable accommodation for the Island .

It was sunday and quiet on the main street where The Post Office and the comunity hall , Thompsons general store and Humpty Dicks were .
