THAT WAS IT ,,, DAY ONE WAS OVER ,,, A FULL DAY

Getting the 7 am flight from Sydney enabled us to have a very full First day without the usual ( travel day ) and hours of security and travel ,,, Just a 2 hour flight.......

The Girls Put the Bikes away ,,,,,, and I beat Ros to the beer ,,,

Back in Frangipani 5 ,,,,,,,, Is that Ros hitting her head against the cupboard because I got the only really cold beer ...

AAAAHHH Down hill at Last ,,,,,, VERY DOWN HILL ,,,, Monique got off her bike to walk ,

Halfway down the steep hill of Middle Beach Road 'HIDEAWAY' was situated ,,,,,, It had a very interesting looking entrance road and a must check out later look .

Then we came to JOYS STORE ,,, and Passst it a a fast pace to Lagoon Beach Road ,,,,,,,,,,,,,

,,,,, for a quiet ride along the beachfront checking out a few tour operators and gear hire places on the way home .......................

for a rest and a Bloody Cold beer .

As it was Still DAY ONE we decided to take the long way home and check the Island out

We cycled up the hill a little way until it got a bit to steep ,,,,,, a little walking was on the cards . I could imagine if you stayed up here that a cycle home after a big days sightseeing would be a challenge ...

There were some interesting trees up this road ,,, great Fig trees . And a Fresh fish shop hidden in the bush somewhere .

We got to the top where the Beachcomber was situated ,,,, some friends were staying there and mentioned the long cycle ride home more than once .

All the places are hidden from view in amongst the trees ,,, but we could see the Pandanus restaurant from the street and it looked like it was worth a visit .

NEDS BEACH HIRE has to be seen to be believed

A Great range of snorkles , fins , surfboards , kayaks etc etc , all on an honour system ,, Very Lord Howe ..........

Honesty is the best Policy ,,, I like that.





The Spies are Watching >>>>>>>>>>>>>

I was wondering who the spies would be ,,,,,,,, This Fish or even that fish ,,,,, maybe a school of whiting check everything out and report to the Gear hire guy ,,???

When we arrived at Neds there were a bunch of people standing in the sea with fish all around them

We had heard abut the Famous Fish feeding at Neds ,,,,,,,, and here it was . The Whiting were all around our legs like so much fish wallpaper .

There were a lots of fish to see ,,,, This was a silver drummer I think But maybe we should give the Lagoon sharks a miss .

The people left and the Fish stayed . .

On the way to Neds Beach ,,, we went past ' Blue Lagoon ' another set of apppartments similar to 'Somerset 'and Right next door ,,,

Because SOMERSET and BLUE LAGOON are close to the main part of town on a no hills flat road and far enough away from the noise of the Town generator they are the choice positions .

After Lunch we dropped into our apartment for snorkels and fresh towels for a ride up the hill and over to Neds Beach on the West side of the Island
